A pair of Helical gears consists of a 21 teeth pinion meshing with a 89 teeth gear. The pinion rotates at 811rpm. The normal pressure angle is 20. while the helix angle is 25. The face width is 43mm and the normal module is 8mm. The pinion as well as gear are made of steel 40C8(Sut=792N/mm2) and heat treated to a surface hardness of 306BHN. Find the Beam Strength and Wear Strength

1KW power at 736rpm is supplied to the worm shaft. The number of starts for threads of worm are 3 with a 46mm pitch circle diameter. The worm wheel has 33 teeth with a 12mm module. The normal pressure angle is 20. Calculate efficiency of the worm gear drive. (Assume ยต=0.035)
